Downlo an epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) overexpression stimulates cell growth in p53-mutated hile it inhibits cell proliferation in those with wild-type p53, but the molecular mechanism is wn. The Dmp1 promoter was activated by HER2/neu through the phosphatidylinositol-3′-kinaseF-κB pathway, which in turn stimulated Arf transcription. Binding of p65 and p52 subunits of was shown to ...

The Civ Processes in the Crit Experiments

Recent in situ observations during Critical Ionization Velocity (CIV) experiments under the CRIT project produced puzzling results, apparently at odds with current ClV theories. It is shown that incorporation in the theory of lower hybrid wave (LHW) instabilities of strong turbulence and finite size effects results in reconciliation of the theory with the observations.

He did a B.A. at Cambridge University, then stuck around in Cambridge for a Ph.D., where he got interested in Dictyostelium, followed by a postdoc in Johns Hopkins, where he got interested in chemotaxis and cell mov...

We are investigating the signal transduction mechanisms by which extracellular hydrophilic hormones activate genes. We use Dictyostelium discoideum as a model eukaryote because it is relatively easy to perform reverse genetics on this organism and it is also capable of development. We had earlier shown that extracellular cAMP behaves as a hydrophilic
